Everything you need to know about earning credits, submitting sites, and embedding surf widgets on your website.
Getting Started
Create an account
Register at /surf-rewards/ to get your free account. You start with 0 credits — earn them by surfing partner sites, or get credits from an admin.
Earn credits by surfing
Go to the Surf & Earn tab, click Start Surfing, and view each site for the required duration. You'll earn reward credits for each completed view.
Submit your site
Once you have at least 50 credits, use the Submit Site tab to add your site to the directory. Pay a placement fee + exposure budget. Each view/click deducts 1 exposure credit.
Top up exposure credits
When your site's exposure budget runs out, use the My Sites tab → Add Points to top up from your credit balance. Your site re-enters rotation immediately.
API Key & Embed Widgets
Your API key
Your API key (credit ID) is a unique identifier for your account. Find it in the API Key tab after logging in. It links surf widget views to your account so you earn credits.
Embed a square widget
Use the /go-surf/ or /surf/ route with your creditId as a query parameter. The /surf/ variant has a transparent background for seamless embedding.
Embed a banner widget
Use the /go-surf-board/ or /surf-board/ route with your creditId. The /surf-board/ variant is transparent for inline banner placement.
How credits are earned
When a visitor views or clicks an ad in your embedded widget, the advertised site's exposure budget is decremented. If you are surfing (Surf & Earn), you earn reward credits per completed view.
Credit System
Placement fee
A one-time fee paid when submitting a site. Covers directory placement (surf listing) or ad widget placement (iframe listing). Pricing is set by admins.
Exposure budget
The number of views/clicks your site will receive. Each view or click deducts 1 credit from this budget. When it reaches 0, your site stops appearing in rotation.
Reward credits
Credits earned by surfing other sites via Surf & Earn. These can be spent on submitting your own sites or topping up exposure budgets.
Weighted rotation
Sites with higher exposure budgets appear more often in the rotation. This rewards members who invest more in their campaigns while still giving smaller budgets a chance.
Site Management
Listing types
surf — appears in the Directory and Surf & Earn rotation. iframe — appears in AdSurf and embedded widgets (banners/squares on partner sites).
Creative types
square — 300x250 ad creative. banner — 970x90 ad creative. Choose the type that matches your creative asset.
Deactivation
Admins can deactivate sites that violate policies. Deactivated sites stop appearing in rotation but remain visible in your My Sites tab. Contact an admin to appeal.
My Sites
Track all your submissions in the My Sites tab. See remaining exposure credits, status, and top up budgets as needed.
